Every pre-owned club we list is hand-inspected in our Surrey, BC facility against the same 12 checkpoints — by a trained tech, not the seller's optimism. Here's exactly what we check, how we grade, and what we refuse to sell.

The 12-Point Inspection

Head (1–4)

  1. Face & grooves — wear pattern, groove depth measured; fresh-groove wedges flagged.
  2. Sole — scratches and wear graded under direct light.
  3. Crown / topline — dings, sky marks, and paint condition at address.
  4. Hosel integrity — crack and separation check.

Shaft (5–8)

  1. Straightness — rolled and sighted; bent shafts fail, full stop.
  2. Wear — rust, chips, and bag wear graded.
  3. Authenticity — shaft band and specs verified against the model.
  4. Tip & ferrule — seating and epoxy integrity.

Grip (9–10)

  1. Wear & tackiness — grips under ~70% life are called out in the listing.
  2. Alignment — logo and reminder rib checked square.

Verification (11–12)

  1. Spec conformity — loft, lie, and length checked against manufacturer spec.
  2. Counterfeit screen — head weight verified against OEM spec and serials checked where applicable. Fake driver heads circulate on classifieds in Canada; they do not make it past this bench.

Our Grades

Grade What it means What you'll see
Brand New Never hit. Unused stock. Original plastic or headcover; zero wear.
Grade A — Excellent Light use. The sweet spot of value vs condition. Minor face/sole wear only; clean at address; grip 90%+.
Grade B — Good Normal play wear. Plays like any gamer. Visible cosmetic marks on sole/crown; grooves within playable spec; grip 70%+.
Grade C — Value Heavy cosmetic wear, structurally sound. Scratches and paint chips you'll notice — priced so you won't mind.

What we refuse to sell

  • Bent or repaired shafts
  • Cracked faces or hosels, rattles, or loose heads
  • Anything that fails the counterfeit screen
  • Grooves worn beyond playable spec
