Where the online store stands today, what's already been fixed, and the short list of plays — with exactly what we need from you — to more than double online sales.
Real numbers from the store's analytics, last 28 days.
The insight: traffic is not the problem — plenty of golfers are already visiting. The store loses them between "interested" and "checkout." Fixing that gap is cheaper and faster than buying more traffic.
We don't need more visitors. We need ~1 more buyer out of every 800 who already visit.
Every improvement below attacks a specific reason people leave without buying. On top of that, our ongoing search & press work keeps growing the visitor number — so the two compound.
Not guessed personas — pulled from real reviews and forum threads about buying used clubs online (2nd Swing, GolfAvenue, Callaway Preowned).
The strongest, most underused claim we found: Canadian buyers researching US retailers openly complain about surprise brokerage fees — real quote from a golf forum: "the brokerage fee I had to pay... ~$40 for everything," "UPS are ripoff artists." A buyer of a Canadian retailer, unprompted: "quicker than I expected, even coming from Montreal to Vancouver... right on time and in perfect shape." ReGolf ships from Surrey, BC. Neither 2nd Swing nor Callaway Preowned can say that. This deserves a headline spot on the homepage, not a line in the shipping policy.
Honest gap: exact buyer age/skill level isn't publicly evidenced anywhere. The more reliable answer is sitting in ReGolf's own Shopify data — first-time vs. repeat buyers, order value spread — worth pulling next.
Ranked by expected impact on orders. Blue = we build it. Amber = needs Bo.
Every major competitor anchors their price against retail. We've already researched original retail prices with sources — we just need your quick yes/no on the batch before they go live on all 1,297 products.
BO: ~20 MIN APPROVALUsed clubs are one-of-a-kind — when one sells, that page currently offers nothing. We'll add "similar clubs in this grade & price" on every product page and in the cart.
WE BUILDAutomatic follow-up runs every 2 hours, checking Shopify for anyone who left at checkout in the last 7 days. Honest status: it hasn't recovered a real order yet — because almost no one is reaching checkout in the first place (see the funnel above). Fixing plays 1–2 feeds this system real carts to recover. Still to build: "back-in-stock / new arrivals like this" alerts, the natural fit for one-of-a-kind inventory.
LIVE — RUNS EVERY 2 HRS ALERTS: WE BUILDReview requests go out automatically after each purchase, and past buyers get a one-time invite. Target: first 50 product reviews in 30 days, and Google reviews from 32 toward 100+ with a QR card at the till.
WE BUILD BO: QR CARD AT TILL"Real photos of the actual club" and "every driver weight-verified against factory spec" — you already do both; we'll say it, with badges on product pages and a dedicated page. No competitor in Canada makes the counterfeit-screen claim.
WE BUILDA live chat / text line for quick questions (single-location stores can't staff a phone all day — chat covers the gap), plus a short "find my club" quiz that routes to the right grade & price band. Competitors' quizzes exist mainly because they lack real staff — ReGolf's quiz can end in a real callback from Bo, something a big-box competitor can't offer.
WE BUILD"As low as $X/mo" under the price (Shop Pay Installments / Affirm) — standard at this price point ($130–$1,400) and config-only to turn on, no new app cost beyond what Shopify already offers.
WE BUILDBuy-now-pay-later for the $300–800 range, and a Play Guarantee — correcting our earlier framing: the strongest version we found isn't "return for credit," it's cash back OR credit, buyer's choice (with a small bonus if they pick credit). That flexibility is what makes it the single strongest answer to Facebook Marketplace. Business-policy decisions; we'll bring costed options.
